1. ADHD reduction through lithium:
Lithium improves brain functions on Jan 4, 2017: against depression, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's, etc.:
Good for the brain: Lithium makes the gray cells tick in the right way
(Dt. orig.: Gut fürs Gehirn: Lithium lässt die grauen Zellen richtig ticken)

The article about lithium (translation):
Even minimal amounts of lithium can significantly reduce the risk of mental illnesses such as Alzheimer's and improve the mood of a person.
Lithium's effect in the body: Our cells are also batteries
There is people who when hearing the word "lithium" this would be a battery, and this is not entirely wrong. Because also body cells are batteries with two poles, in which minerals like lithium and potassium build up electrical voltage and produce protein compounds. In this procedure, hundreds of substances are involved. Any deficiency, any imbalance can endanger health – but it does not have to, because nature has the capability to be adaptable.
The best way to support your cell batteries [your body cells] is to eat as healthily as possible (no empty calories) and get enough time outdoors. Cell biologists are constantly discovering new connections, but there remain by no means many secrets about it.
At least we know that we tend to be under-supplied with some important substances. These include in particular vitamin C, magnesium, copper, zinc, and also lithium. Accordingly, there is a good chance that corresponding food supplements provide a health benefit. However, there are no guarantees.
The article with the cases:
Indications for lithium:
-- Alzheimer's decreases
-- Depression is cured
-- Inflammations are reduced - anti-inflammatory effect
-- Brain: development of the brain with the formation of gray cells
-- Brain performance increases with better memory
-- Insulin resistance decreases
-- Crime decreases
-- Unstable psyche, bipolar people without a center of thoughts
-- Life expectancy increases
-- MS decreases
-- Parkinson's decreases
-- Suicides are reduced
It is well documented that too less lithium - a naturally occurring alkali metal - can be dangerous. In Japan, Austria and Texas, for example, the lithium content in local drinking water was compared with the frequency of mental disorders, suicides and violent crimes and the same conclusion was reached everywhere: the lower the lithium content, the more susceptible the psyche is to disorders. General mortality also increased as lithium levels decreased. Drinking water was tested for lithium content and the results were a variation between 0.07 and 0.17 milligrams per liter. Apparently even the smallest amounts have a big effect (study here). Another study found that the lithium content in the hair of heavy criminals was 70% lower than that of normal citizens.
Less amyloid deposits
According to American sources, we consume around 0.7 milligrams of lithium every day. Most of it in drinking water. Depending on the nature of the soil, grains and vegetables contain between 0.5 and 3.4 milligrams per kilo. Lithium above all is affecting the brain cells (book). In laboratory and animal studies, it prevents and reduces the formation of amyloid deposits, which are considered to be responsible for Alzheimer's. It supports the formation of the myelin layer, and when they are missing, this is one of the causes for multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. Lithium also promotes the formation of gray cells, supports autophagy (self-cleaning of cells), helps with insulin resistance and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
So far, lithium (in doses of around 1 gram daily) has been used primarily against depression and bipolar disorders (manic-depressive). Studies show that this prevents suicides significantly more effectively and with fewer side effects than the most commonly prescribed pharmaceutical products. The positive side effects of lithium therapy include a significantly reduced risk of developing Alzheimer's. In one study, two groups of people were under control. Of 66 people having healed from bipolar disorder, only 3% had Alzheimer's disease compared to 33% in the comparison group. A later study with 21,000 former lithium patients also showed a significantly reduced risk.
Good for bipolar disorder
In another trial, patients in the early stages of dementia were given between 150 and 600 milligrams of lithium daily for 12 months (about a third of the usual doses for bipolar disorder). After 12 months, there was a decrease in amyloid deposits (causing Alzheimer's) in the lithium group, while these had continued to increase in the control group. Memory performance also improved. An analogous study produced comparable results with a significantly lower dosage of 0.3 milligrams daily. In patients with Alzheimer's in an advanced stage, however, lithium no longer brought any improvement.
[Dr. Ulrich Strunz: control of the lithium in the blood of his patients - lack of lithium in food and beverages - lithium in certain mineral waters]
In the practice of Dr. Ulrich Strunz, the lithium content of the blood is routinely measured and corrected if necessary. According to his observations and research, lithium increases the will for moving, while lack makes us lazy and passive. But Strunz is (still?) an exception. Lithium is not regularly measured or declared either in food or in standard blood analyses. There is also no official minimum requirement. The unofficial recommendation is 1 milligram daily, which would mean that, at least in the United States, most people are underserved. Clear deficiency symptoms are not known. Mental blackouts may indicate a deficiency, but it's not sure.
On the other hand, it is neither expensive nor risky to help out a little, especially since more can make a crucial difference. For example, there is mineral water [of Switzerland with 1 milligram per unit]: this is how much lithium is contained in 3 deciliters of Zurzach mineral water or in one liter of Rhäzünser mineral water (table). Dr. Strunz reports an “impressive feeling of rising mood” after 4 boxes of [German] Schillerquelle mineral water (0.82 mg/l lithium). The finding is not new: In 1929, [the beverage] "7 Up" was added with lithium and touted as a mood enhancer and hangover-fighting drink.
Felt clearer, calmer, more present
On the internet, you can buy a daily dose of 5 milligrams of lithium (or 125 milligrams of lithium orotate) for around 25 cents. This is about a hundred times below the pharmacological dosage. According to reports from the blogger scene, one can already feel an immediate effect with 5 milligrams daily. "I felt calmer, clearer, and more present," reports a person for example. For preventive effects, 5 milligrams every two or three days are probably sufficient. In a double-blind study with psychiatrically unstable patients, 0.4 milligrams daily already brought a significant improvement after two weeks.
[Iodine from algae and marine fish]
To support the effect and avoid possible side effects such as fatigue, it is recommended to combine lithium with omega-3, preferably in the form of algae and marine fish, because this also provides the brain with the also important iodine.
[WARNINGS about lithium]
However, those who suffer from intestinal inflammation or Crohn's disease should not experiment with lithium.

Finally available from Kopp: lithium orotate concentration 500 ppm
Based on studies by Dr. According to Dr. Michael Nehls, the following health benefits arise:
👉 Brain health: Protects against neuroinflammation, promotes hippocampal regeneration and can stabilize early stages of Alzheimer's
👉 Mental Resilience: Reduces depression, anxiety, ADHD symptoms and brain fog; increases emotional stability.
👉 Postviral diseases: In long-COVID/post-vac ("spikeopathy"), doses of 5 mg of pure lithium (approx. 130 mg lithium orotate) have an anti-inflammatory effect, as it apparently blocks the spike protein effect.
👉 Prevention: 1 mg/day as “basic care” against chronic deficiency, which is widespread in lithium-poor regions such as Germany.
👉 Other effects: Reduces the risk of suicide (9 out of 11 studies confirm this), protects against Parkinson's and could even reduce social aggression.
This highly pure concentration contains 0.5 milligrams of lithium per milliliter (equivalent to 500 ppm) dissolved in purified water. The lithium orotate it contains has a chemical purity of over 98.5 percent.

2. ADHD Reduction through Omega-3 - Rhodiola (roseroot) - Ashwagandha (Sleepberry) - Tyrosine
Video (without date): Remedies for reducing ADHD:
Always some sports - Omega-3 fatty acids - Rhodiola - Ashwagandha (Sleepberry) - Tyrosine:
Video (no date): Adults with ADHD - Natural Treatment
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/8iooEVtGGs4
Video minutes:
Adults with ADD when you don't want to take stimulants or you CAN't take stimulants - then there are some natural treatments:
-- exercise, always moving around
-- EPA fish oil (a lot of Omega 3 fatty acids for the brain and DHA)
-- higher levels of EPA "can be really helpful"
-- Rhodiola (roseroot)
-- Ashwagandha (sleepberry)
-- Tyrosine (amino acid building block for dopamine)
-- 1000 oder 1500 mg of Tyrosine twice a day makes a huge betterment
2a. Omega-3 fatty acids
2b. Psycho healing plant: roseroot (Rhodiola)
Summary:
-- Thick-leaved plants
-- Roseroot (Rhodiola) grows in the mountains of Europe, Asia and North "America"
-- The root has a "strengthening and balancing effect"
-- "adaptogenic properties": Stress is regulated, overreaction is reduced, the balance in the organism is supported
-- the most important active ingredients are:
1. Rosavines (positive influence on the CNS)
2. Salidroside: antioxidant+anti-inflammatory+sedative properties
3. Phenylpropanoids: strengthen the immune system: antioxidant + anti-inflammatory + antimicrobial properties
4. Flavonoids: reduce “oxidative stress” + promote cardiovascular health
-- The effects come “after a few weeks” of use
-- You can buy rhodiola extract and use it healingly
-- The psychological effect of the adaptogens of rose root: it's working against anxiety, against stress, against depression, the adaptogens regulate the stress hormones + stabilize the function of the adrenal cortex
->> Roseroot dampens the stress reaction in the body
->> Roseroot causes “emotional stability”, calmness and “better handling of stressful situations” [and this helps ADHD people].
Add to this:
Roseroot improves physical and mental performance
How does this work:
-- The mitochondria are supported in producing energy
-- Oxygen absorption in the cells is supported
-- The formation of lactate is reduced
-- Concentration, memory and sharp thinking are optimized to "keep a clear head" during stress
[and this helps ADHD people]
Roseroot for menopause
-- Roseroot regulates the hormonal changes during menopause, promotes "hormonal balance and emotional stability"
-- There are reduced: hot flashes, sleep problems, imbalance and stress during menopause.
Roseroot against high blood pressure
-- reducing stress often also reduces high blood pressure -- the blood vessels are protected from "oxidative stress" + blood circulation improves
Rhodiola root with happiness hormones and reduces the stress hormone of cortisol
-- Roseroot promotes the production of serotonin and dopamine (happiness hormones) and reduces cortisol so that all stress decreases, anxiety is reduced, depression is reduced.
WARNINGS
-- There are NO side effects
-- There are no data on pregnancy and breastfeeding, so do not take it then as a precaution

What happens when you take Ashwagandha for 30 days
(Dt. original: Was passiert, wenn du 30 Tage lang Ashwagandha einnimmst)
Short video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/l9qlNp9l8kM
Video from Nutri Brain:
Day 1: You don't feel anything yet, but your body is starting to make its first adjustments
Day 8: After 1 week you feel "the first difference": sleep becomes deeper, more restful, your head becomes quieter - stress rebounds
Day 15: After 2 weeks I realize: Emotions come and go, but I remain calm, nothing can upset me anymore, my inner balance becomes stable and unshakable
Day 21: After 3 weeks, the mental life in the brain also changes: Logic begins to dominate - thoughts become organized - the ability to concentrate at work [or also in hobbies] has increased
Day 30: After 4 weeks, a new permanent state has established itself: being awake, being relaxed at the same time - nervousness [or overreactions] are a thing of the past - life now goes on with a "natural clarity from within" -- living more relaxed but also mentally clearer is the goal of Ashwagandha

The main effect of adaptogenic agents = "Regulation of overactive or underactive systems"
Video text:
Ashwagandha, often referred to as Indian Ginseng, has long been known in Ayurvedic medicine for its stress-reducing properties. Once again, a new meta-analysis has proven that Ashwagandha is extremely low in side effects and can help against stress!
Video minutes
Basic information about the Ashwagandha plant
-- Ashwagandha has adaptogenic properties
-- With normal dosage it has few side effects
-- Ashwagandha is internationally one of the "best-studied plants ever" (30'')
-- Nightshade plant, known and used in Ayurveda for over 3000 years - also called "sleepberry" in Germany because it causes good sleep (51'')
-- The roots contain the most active ingredients and are used for medicinal purposes - the effect is similar to Asian ginseng, which is why Ashwagandha was nicknamed "Indian ginseng" (1'3'')
-- At the end of 2024, a meta-analysis and further studies in 2025 showed a great effect against stress and healing from anxiety (1'23'')
-- Other plants can do this as well, e.g. roseroot, but ashwagandha is number 1 in terms of effect, roseroot only number 2 (1'38'')
Ashwagandha: adaptogenic ingredients
-- Adaptogenic active ingredients cause an inner force overcoming physical stress easily, also chemical stress and psychological stress (1'56'')
-- With calmness and without disturbing the surroundings (2'0'')
-- Adaptogenic means: resistance to stress is increased - the entire organism is supported - the body is brought back into balance
->> Regulation of overactive or underactive systems such as hormones ("hormone axes") (2'21'')
-- Adaptogenic also means: The substance must be NON-toxic, "also during long intake periods" (2'29'') --
Ashwagandha: reduces stress hormones
-- Reduces stress hormones, proven to reduce cortisol and DHEA, the two stress hormones in the adrenal gland (2'41'')
-- Is stabilizing the "autonomic nervous system"
-- The heart rate variability HRV decreases, the heart no longer reacts to stress as before (2'55'')
-- Is improving sleep quality: improving the time to fall asleep, duration of sleep and being well rested (3'6'')
Ashwagandha: reduces anxiety
-- Ashwaganda reduces anxiety, is acting as an antidepressant, is working through alkaloids, the vitanolides (3'35'')
->> Ashwagandha increases quality of life, resilience, less exhaustion, better concentration, higher energy, more strength, more well-being (3'50'')
-- These effects occur in healthy people as well as in stressed people, studies show (4'1'')
-- Side effects: sometimes a queasy stomach feeling, you feel a little sick -- that's why Dr. Selz is suggesting a maximum of 300mg daily (4'23'')
-- All these effects have been PROVEN by studies [of toxic chemistry industry] (4'35'').
Ashwgandha: is reducing stress in the event of surprising, negative events
-- The adaptogen reduces acute stress that results from seemingly hopeless situations (7'1'')
-- anyone who gets up tired in the morning could have a stress problem - the adrenal glands produce the stress hormone cortisol - but after a long phase of stress, the adrenal gland can become ill and no longer produce cortisol, and THESE are the people who are already tired in the morning (7'47'')
-- these are the people who are only fit after 10 a.m (7'52'')
-- nocturnal people are usually people with damaged adrenal glands due to constant stress (8'27'')
Ashwagandha: reduces concentration problems + brain fog
-- Concentration disorders and brain fog are cured with ginseng (9'10'') -- Ashwaghanda is also known as the "Indian ginseng", can have a positive effect on both short and long-term memory (9'22'') -- Attention is also increased + the speed of information processing (9'32'') -- normal people as also people "with mild cognitive impairment" are healed (9'41'') -- young people also made improvements in brain performance, memory and reaction time, including alertness (9'53'')
Ashwagandha promotes the happiness hormones in the brain and also improves concentration, memory and reaction times
-- Ashwagandha root regulates neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, GABA, promotes "neuronal plasticity" (10'2'') --
see the study: Effect of standardized aqueous extract of Withania somnifera on tests of cognitive and psychomotor performance in healthy human participants
-- Taking 250 mg of ashwagandha for 14 days in 20 men resulted in significantly improved cognitive abilities according to the psychological tests afterwards, and the reaction time also improved - the placebo group had no improvement (10'26'')

Updated June 26, 2024
-- Tyrosine is an important amino acid, guarantees many processes in the body, including in the central nervous system (CNS), is involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters (chemical messengers: happiness hormones such as adrenaline, norepinephrine and dopamine, which fluctuate between nerve cells (neurons) and other cell types)
-- The human body can produce (synthesize) L-tyrosine itself from other amino acids ->> therefore, this is a "non-essential amino acid"
-- Tyrosine is involved in the production of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, nodrepinephrine and adrenaline and is therefore regulating mood and stress
-- Tyrosine is found in the proteins of many foods: meat, fish, dairy products, nuts, seeds
-- Tyrosine is also in food supplements
-- [crazy students without a balanced diet] take tyrosine to increase their concentration, attention, alertness and memory - and to manage stress and anxiety
-- L-Tyrosine is also used for soldiers (100mg/kg) to optimize cognitive performance and memory and to cope with stress without hecticness [this means: to die without fear and stress] (the study can be found in the journal "Military Medicine")
-- L-Tyrosine alleviates schizophrenia: increases cognitive abilities (the study can be found in the Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience)
-- L-Tyrosine is a precursor for certain neuromodulators
-- Tyrosine is converted into neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine and adrenaline: increases mood, motivation, attention, memory, learning and communication, increase in joy of life, dynamism and mood - depression and melancholy go away
-- Tyrosine increases the performance of the brain through neurotransmitters (there are numerous studies proving that)
-- Tyrosine also causes the coping with stress without hecticness by producing catecholamines, which are normally reduced during stress (experiment in rats - study in the journal "Brain Research" [source 03]
-- Tyrosine reduces social anxiety and improves the ability to act - by increasing the happiness hormones dopamine and norepinephrine
-- Tyrosine as a nutritional supplement at work to combat stress, during exams, in in tough times - tyrosine then also promotes good recovery
-- Tyrosine for mountaineers can be used against altitude sickness: in zones with low oxygen levels (research results are proving that)
Stimulates thyroid activity
-- L-Tyrosine is crucial in the production of thyroid hormones, which regulate metabolism
Chronic tyrosine deficiency
-- provokes hypothyroidism (insufficient supply of the thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) to the body - link)
-- provokes constant fatigue, difficulty concentrating, constipation, weak heart with reduced heartbeat
Tyrosine treatment
is particularly recommended in the following life situations:
-- Physical overexertion 🏃♂️
-- Severe stress 😣
-- Decreased mood 😔
-- Stimulating thyroid activity (medical advice required) 🦋
-- Improving brain functions (memory, attention...) 🧠📚
Dosage:
-- Depending on body weight, age, condition, kidney and liver function, the intake is "between 500mg and 2000mg per day"
-- In the case of physical stress or lack of sleep, 150 mg / kg of body weight is also possible for adults, this means: 10 g of tyrosine for 70 kg
-- In sports before copetitions, take 500 to 200 mg - 30 to 60 minutes before the competition
Side effects
-- No side effects in healthy people
-- Even with excessive doses of up to 500 mg / kg body weight "no detectable negative effects"
-- The recommendation is to take 150mg/kg/day for a maximum of 3 months, then take a break
Warnings
DO NOT take tyrosine
-- for people with thyroid problems (discuss with your doctor)
-- in people with the metabolic disease phenylketonuria (PKU)
-- anyone who takes MAOIS for depression should not take L-tyrosine at the same time
-- do not take if you are taking Parkinson's medication
-- who has dopaminergic disorders
-- high doses of tyrosine can increase blood pressure, be careful if you already have high blood pressure!
-- there are no studies on tyrosine in pregnant and breastfeeding women, so avoid it
Overdose and combination with other underlying diseases can provoke the following side effects:
Nausea 🤢
Heartburn 🔥
Joint pain 🦵.
Headache 🤕.
Temporary fatigue 😴
Insomnia 🌙
Increased blood pressure (at high doses) 🩺 🩺.
Increase in blood sugar levels (at high doses) 🍬
Mood swings 😠
